It's The Time For The Broncos!

With the Super Bowl finally coming up on this first Sunday in February , I feel unusually confident in my life long team, the DENVER BRONCOS.

Sports fans in general, regardless of the sport are usually pessimistic about the chances of their favorite team succedding in big games especially when it's a championship game. And there is no championship game that's bigger in all of sports than the SUPER BOWL.

As a DENVER BRONCOS fan my entire life, I honestly didn't think I would see them in a SUPER BOWL in my life time again. It still feels a little surreal that it has actually happened. After all it's been 15 years since the BRONCOS were last here. John Elways last game ever, when they defeated the ATLANTA FALCONS..."This one's for John..." , oh sorry I was having a moment there.

But back to this SUPER BOWL and the fact that everyone has an opinion of how it will be won and lost. If you run the ball like this or pass the ball like that and...blah...blah...blah. It doesn't really matter how you win, JUST AS LONG AS YOU WIN!

All the talk it seems, is that...will PEYTON MANNING throw at corner back RICHARD SHERMAN; who led the league this year with eight interceptions. And to me the answer is obvious...OF COURSE HE WILL! It's a long game after all, and PEYTON (Manning) will pick his spots, and he isn't scared to throw at anyone...even if that anyone is the caliber of player that RICHARD SHERMAN is.

Everyone it seems is going with the Seattle defense in this one. I love defense, I've been a defensive guy my whole life, and Seattle's is definitely the best. The secondary that they call the, "LEGION OF BOOM,"  is without question the best in the NFL. Along with the aforementioned RICHARD SHERMAN, there is corner WALTER THURMOND, and the best safety tandem in the league, with KAM CHANCELLOR, and my personal favorite to win the Defensive Player Of The Year Award...EARL THOMAS, I think that award should come down to him and ROBERT MATHIS of the COLTS, but that's just me.

Anyway, back to Seattle's safeties, both of whom are tackling machines, and that will no doubt play a pivotal role, not only when it comes to Seattle's pass defense but also in terms of stopping KNOWSHON MORENO and Denver's rushing attack.

If you hadn't guessed, I am a huge fan of EARL THOMAS and how he plays the game. So as a BRONCOS fan I hope he doesn't have a game up to his usual standards of greatness. Even if he doesn't, SEATTLE has a plethora of defensive backs that can make huge plays at any moment. They proved that after they lost stud corner BRANDON BROWNER early in the yeart to a combination of injuries and being suspended a year for violating the league's substance abuse policy; the secondary has not missed a beat.

So many questions to be answered in this SUPER BOWL. Like, can the BRONCOS defense stop MARSHAWN LYNCH? Can SEATTLE's LEGION OF BOOM stop PEYTON (Manning) and Denver's talented receiving core? Will RUSSEL WILSON make enough plays in the passing game? And can the DENVER offensive line keep PEYTON MANNING clean against a stout ravenous SEATTLE defensive line?

It comes down to execution and adjustments each team makes throughout the course of the game, and I know historically when the Number One defense faces off against the Number One offense in the SUPER BOWL, the defense has a 3 to 1 edge. Bottom line I don't think...or rather I don't believe PEYTON MANNING will let his team lose this game! Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know I'm biased but I don't see it happening, I just don't! And to sound even more biased about it, I want to see one of the greastest corner backs of all time CHAMP BAILEY hoist the LOMBARDI trophy. He deserves it damn it!

I'm sure I will experience varying emotions throughout the game, from anxiousness, nervousness, happy to sad and everything else you can feel about the most important football game of the year. I hope it will end with a heavy reliveved sigh from holding my breath most of the game, to hopefully pure jubulation in celebration of a BRONCOS victory!!!!

And with that said I predict BRONCO - 34...SEATTLE - 21.

GOOOOOOO BRONCOS!!!!!
