Drug Under: Forgive and Forget

By The Rocker Twins  *original post date 12-29-12*

Drug Under has been a staple of the Denver Metal scene forever, opening for so many national acts it's hard to keep track. With a live show to rival the headliners, it's not often that you see a band command their audience as easily as they do, but that is exactly what lead singer Christopher Romero and bass player Aaron Greenwall do! With their new album "Forgive And Forget" being released on Down Boys Records; a new label founded by WARRANT band members Jerry Dixon and Erik Turner, the music is just as hard hitting and lyrically haunting as ever.

The 9 song release is now available for download on iTunes and through the Down Boys site. You'll start off with the machine gun shots of the dueling guitarists Pat Searcy and Eric Greenwall, both playing off of each other with an expertise that is missed in a lot of bands, they don't compete with each other they compliment one another, for the title track Forgive And Forget, bringing with it the power and sound of such bands as HELL YEAH or Godsmack. The whole album is immediately pleasing to a Metal Heads ears. Continuing down the play list you'll next hear I Need To See, the power ballad of the bunch. Beautifully written lyrics, and the haunting bravado of lead singer Christopher Romero, or ROMERO as everyone knows to call him. When you hear Never Again it is a jewel to behold. This is what every rock band wants to achieve, a perfect blend of music and sound, with the crashing cymbals of drummer Mike Crisler, and with the heart breaking lyrics this one is sure to touch your soul...or crush it. Wrapping it up with the appropriately titled It's Over you feel the message of where they wanted this album to take you. A cathartic ride from beginning to end. This CD definitely gets The Rocker Twins' stamp of approval.
